It is suitable for lunch, dinner, or special occasions, and it is best served with naan, roti, or jeera rice.

🛒 Ingredients

For Gravy:

  • 250 g paneer (cubed)
  • 3 large tomatoes (pureed)
  • 1 large onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp fresh cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Optional:

  • ½ tsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves) – for extra flavor

👨‍🍳 Method

Step 1: Cook the Gravy

Heat the butter and oil in a pan.

Add the onions and cook until golden brown.

Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 1 minute.

Add in the tomato puree and cook until oil separates (5 - 6 minutes).

Add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt. Combine all ingredients well.

Step 2: Cook the Paneer

Gently add the cubed paneer into the gravy.

Combine gently so the paneer does not break apart.

Add the fresh cream and allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes on low flame.

Finish with garam masala and kasuri methi (if using) and mix in gently.

Step 3: Serve

Garnish the paneer with fresh coriander leaves.

Serve hot with naan, roti or steamed rice.

🌟 Foodie Hub Tips

For an extra creamy gravy, add 1 tbsp of cashew paste when cooking the tomato puree.

Use fresh paneer for the best soft texture.

Make dish spicier based on your taste or mood that day.
